Company Grilled Cheese – Sheet Pan Snacks for Guests
Description
A sheet pan extravaganza of melty, customizable grilled cheese sandwiches. Perfect for entertaining, with sweet, savory, and gourmet flavor combinations.
Ingredients
- Bread slices: 24 slices (12 sandwiches, 2 per person)
- Butter: ~½ cup melted (room temperature) for spreading on both sides
- Cheese~ Shredded for best melt (about 1/4 cup of cheese per sandwich)
- White Cheddar ~ 3/4 cup
- Sharp Cheddar ~ 3/4 cup
- Gruyère – ~¾ cup
- Fontina – ~¾ cup
- Spreads / jams: 2–3 tsp per sandwich
- Caramelized onion jam – ~¼ cup
(for The Cozy Onion) - Apricot preserves – ~¼ cup
(for The Apricot Classic) - Sour cherry jam – ~¼ cup
(for The Cherry Basil) - Dijon mustard – ~2 tablespoons
(for The Bistro Apple)
- Caramelized onion jam – ~¼ cup
- Herbs / extras: small handfuls per type (chives, basil, thyme, thin apple slices, arugula, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment.
- Using a pastry brush, brush melted butter the outside of each bread slice evenly.
- Assemble sandwiches with your chosen cheese, spreads, and extras.
- Place sandwiches on the sheet pan in a single layer, leaving space between each.
- Bake 8–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bread is golden. Flip halfway through if desired.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Transfer sandwiches to a serving tray. Serve warm, and enjoy a variety of combinations!
Notes
Serve alongside tomato soup for dipping, or offer small cups so guests can mix and match.
